You may have heard that Portobello's Italian Grill just closed one of its two locations at W Lee Dr. What you may not have heard, is the exciting, hot, new Portobello's Grill in the Bocage Shopping Center at the corner of Jefferson and Corporate. In the place of Kiva's Restaurant, Portobello's has opened up a newly refurbished dining room with the same great food, great service, and unbeatable atmosphere. Only open for three weeks, Portobello's has gained some great fans of old and young alike. The menu consists of the best pastas in town, an amazing steak and grilled fish/chicken selection, refreshing and interesting salads, and of course to be successful in any restaurant of its kind, a full bar with one of the best wine lineups in town. The service has certainly kicked it up a notch since the recent move as most of the staff from the Lee Dr location made the move. Our new menu features a combination of your favorite Portabello dishes of old, with some new and exciting entrees and appetizers! So come by and check us out and I will assure you, that you will not be dissappointed! Feel free to respond if you have already checked us out! Oh and tell them Jeremy sent you by, and if your lucky, you can ask for him to be your server as well : )

the new one in bocage is like a retirement center, I've been twice and have been the only person in there under 75 besides the staff.

On a side note, the chicken pesto sandwich is incredible.

I went to the one on George O'Neil in Marblegate, weird flavor combos, Cajun spices on the Italian Grilled shrimp salad, gumbo that didn't taste like gumbo. But it has been years, maybe due for another chance.

I got a bad case of food poisoning when I ate there.

Won't be going back.

It looks like Portobello's have jacked up their prices. They've only got a few things on their menu that I like...I wish Semolina's was still open.

Same here.

The only thing I enjoy at Portobello's is the grilled pork chops.

I've never eaten anything there that I didn't like...I think its all up to the service and prep...I don't think any restaurant in town serves what you would call bad food. Chicken Pomadori is an awesome pasta, Stuffed Tilapia is really good as well as the Cedar Roasted Salmon if your into that...i'm more of a mahi mahi fan myself which i eat there reg., i've had multiple people tell me that the filets are one of the best cuts of meat they've had in town. Idk man...I think the food is pretty good

I went to Portobellos when it first opened @'97 and thought it was pretty average at best. The food was uninspired and the service was questionable.

I returned about 3 years ago and was fairly disappointed. The food was lacking flavor which the sous tried to cover up by soaking it in oil, butter and fat. The service was below average.

.....and that statement alone disqualifies you from ever reviewing any establishment ever again

To me it's always been below average.
