He’s absolutely imploding the football program.

NO ONE worth a damn wants to play for him. Why are we standing by idly watching one of the best football programs turn to absolute dog shite in one year??

“BuT LoOk aT ReCruiTinG” Are we just going to wait around and watch that implode too? Because it’s certainly looking that way with how things are going

It may implode under him but if you fire O and hire a new coach it is a guarantee that it will implode.

"We" can't do much. And O can rest easy knowing he has a (completely unnecessary BTW) $20+ million parachute in a year where the athletic budget has been destroyed.

LSU is just not in a financial position to make huge changes because even if LSU decided to eat O and the staff's massive buyout figure, they still have to have major funds to bring in a new HC (unless you propose we pay some one peanuts to come here. Which I doubt any fan would accept). That money is hard to come by in a normal year. Let alone where LSU is losing 10's of millions in expected revenue...with no foreseeable end in sight.

The most realistic scenario is the AD makes it VERY clear that O has lost all of the goodwill and credibility gained last season....swallow Pelini's buyout trying not to throw up...and make it clear to O that throwing massive contract offers to guys with little to no market demand simply is NOT going to happen.

At that point he can either cut bait an leave for another big job (that isn't going to be there). Or realize he is fricking up his best opportunity, gain some humility, and get back to the "plan" that built the empire in the first place

If that means hiring someone who will build and maintain a better culture than this shite show going on right now, you make that call and fire his arse 10/10 times.

I also don’t know how people are just blindly accepting the rape/Title 9 allegations. He’s so fricking done

You mean winning a national title LAST YEAR with one of the best teams of all time?

He brought in Joe Brady and Joe Burrow.

You don't fire a coach the year after something like that. Calling for it makes one look like a crazy person to fanbases of any other team. And rightfully so. It's embarrassing.

It proves that there is literally NOTHING Coach O could do to convince you that he's worthy of the job. There will always be an excuse to want someone else. And then whoever we get short of Nick Saban will be a bum.

Sad!

Saddest part about this being Stingley is 50/50 at best to not "opt out" next season.

early signing day is next week, there would be no time for a new coach to bring in recruits for us. The class hasn't fallen apart yet, so the best bet is to cross fingers and hope for the best here. The only way you can fire O is if the class tanks, more underclassmen quit or he is found dirty in Feb.

Because from what we know now it points more to an administration problem above O than it implicates O specifically. Now there may be more we don’t know and that’s different.
