I think Louisiana Tech is his only football offer to date, but highly recruited baseball player. Definetly should be allowed to walk-on to the football team to add more depth if he's already going to be on campus.

Another Louisiana player generating recent LSU interest is New Orleans Newman quarterback Wes Luquette, who had been offered preferred walkon status by Miles a while ago. Luquette, whose height at 6-0 has been a drawback as a quarterback, is probably the top position player in Louisiana in baseball (he's a catcher), and yesterday Paul Mainieri jumped in with an offer. Micah Gibbs has the catcher spot sewn up at LSU for the next two years at least, but finding a backup for him who can take over when he goes pro is a top priority for Mainieri in the 2010 recruiting class. Luquette could be that guy. He would have received an offer much earlier but for the turnover in LSU's baseball coaching staff, which has required about two months of recalibrating and reprioritizing of recruits, though the Tigers have taken commitments from prized Louisiana pitchers Brody Colvin of St. Thomas More, Jordan Rittiner of Jesuit and Zack Von Rosenberg of Zachary.
