Found a few lists from people online:
quote:

Roddy Piper
Ted Dibiase
Davey Smith
Jimmy Snuka
Scott Hall
Dynamite Kid
William Regal
Fit Finlay
Jake Roberts
Al Snow

Kevin Von Erich
Arn Anderson
Roddy Piper
Ted Dibiase
Jimmy Snuka
Freddie Blassie
Dean Malenko
Bruiser Brody
William Regal
Jake Roberts

10. Bobby Eaton
9. Hall
8. DiBiase
7. Ravishing Rick Rude
6. Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff
5. Barry Windham
4. Tully Blanchard
3. Jake Roberts
2. Arn Anderson
1. Dynamite Kid

Looking at those lists, I'll go with Rowdy Roddy Piper.

The first one that came into my head before I looked it up was Rick Rude.

Jimmy Snuka, Arn Anderson, and Jake Roberts also stand out to me.

I know not all of them are WWF/E though.

You're going with Piper over Sting? C'mon, you're better than that.

DiBiase got screwed in Wrestlemania 4. He had Savage beat and Hogan interfered giving Macho Man the title.

Actully..he did 'technically' hold the title for a short while.

After Wrestlemania 3 (when Hogan body slammed Andre the Giant)....it was a regular Saturday Night Main Event show (I remember this because Phil Collins was a special guest that night)...there was a rematch between Hogan and Andre (this was when DiBiase was Andre's co-manager along with Bobby Heenan). Dibiase hit a ref with a chair knocking him out for a short while when Hogan Pinned Andre....so of course it didn't count....then right when the ref came to, Dibiase hit Hogan with a chair (without the ref seeing, of course), and Andre pinned and beat Hogan (that was when Hogan lost the belt for the first time since beating the Iron Sheik).

Andre won the belt, and then immediately GAVE the title to Dibiase...This is what forced then Commissioner Jack Tunny to vacate the title, and concieved that Tournament for the title that occured in Wrestlemania IV (the one that Randy Macho Man Savage won against Dibiase in the final).

So technically...Dibiase 'did' have the title for a short while, although the WWF doenst officialy recognize it.

No research..this is just all from my memory of following this crap back in the 80's....I'm extremely embarrassed that I even remember this.

Which basically only helps my argument that he is the greatest wrestler never to win the wwf/wwe title. Correct?

Hulk Hogan was a bitch. They had to prop that douche up with the belt for like 15 years straight just cause he was so garbage overall.
