So what will LSU gain when they are humiliated by Bama on national TV?

There isn't a single LSU fan in their right mind that thinks we're going to win or even be competitive this weekend, so why should we play this game? This game means absolutely nothing to either team, except for bragging rights. Alabama is going to represent the West in the SEC Championship game regardless!
If this were a normal year, I would say yes let's play, but this isn't even close to being a normal year. LSU will be playing this game without 5 of its best players - Chase, Shelvin, Marshall and Vincent, who opted out, and Brennan, who suffered an injury earlier this year. This is clearly not a normal year.
When was the last time LSU opened as a 28-point underdog to Alabama or any team ever? LSU has already been embarrassed by Missouri and Mississippi State on national television and this game will be much worse. Please explain to me how this beatdown is going to help LSU become a better team?

Why do you think we have an option?

Man up. We play football no matter how bad or good we are. Thats what we do.

Gary Danielson arranged this game to be prime time and no one can convince me otherwise

Lol it’s telling so many people believe hiding the problem will make it go away. The culture issues go far deeper than the coaching staff at LSU.

We're favored to lose so let's quit. Yeah some life you must have there loser.

I'm not a quitter. We play until the end of the season, win or lose.

O isn’t going to let this team play Alabama.

The OP has become one of the top 5 shittiest posters on this site.
That not withstanding, you play the game, take your arse-whipping like men, and remember what if feels like next year when you play them and the other teams that embarrassed you so far this year.

Experience for young players. That’s all we have to gain. Everyone and their mother knows it will be a beat down. Bama can’t even celebrate this because who cares about beating LSU when anybody can?

Let me guess, you weren’t a fan in the 90’s? Nut up.

This is the most pathetic take ever. I'm sorry we can't go 15-0 and have the greatest season in college football history every year.

Courage. Something you do not know anything about.

LSU needs to man up and play the game.

We could have John Bel take over Covid reporting for the team and not have to play another game with how he pads case numbers.

I predict 2021 season tickets will be easy to come by and you'll again see 50% capacity in Tiger Stadium. Next year brings little hope and recruiting will eventually take hits. Prepare for "The Year of the De-commit". You're watching a classless football team in action. That's the primary difference between Saban and Orgeron: Class, discipline, and a deep understanding of Excellence
