Good for him. Playing in these next few games will only hurt his draft stock in this offense. He has been a fun Tiger to watch.

This is truly the dumbest take I keep seeing on this board.

You think scouts don't know that Bama has elite talent on the back end and Marshall is playing in a bullshite offense with terrible quarterback play?

Playing against Bama could only help his stock. It will do nothing to hurt it. He would be playing with house money, considering the obvious handicap of the offense.

ETA: The only legitimate reason to stop playing is so he doesn't risk injury.

For whatever reason this pisses me off.... The school gave you a free education and took care of you in every way they could and NOW you bail just cause its a bad season????? Yes he has really been the only exciting player to watch, but this team needs his leadership, not him quitting.....

he just had 10 catches for 134 and a TD against easily the best D on our schedule this year.

I'm not saying your statement is right or wrong, I would simply ask, how old you are? Not trying to bash, just trying to get a sense of whether the dividing line between those who believe he's quitting on his team and those who feel it's right decision has anything to do with age.

How foolish of you. How many receivers caught 10 or more passes yesterday.

Even if he had only caught two passes it would not matter. The NFL doesn't make draft decisions on stats.

However, if a team is deliberating between two players who have similar ratings, all things being relatively equal they would likely select the player who remained loyal to the team all year over one who opts out. Marshall will likely be a first round pick whether he stays or opts out but his draft slotting may be affected.

God, the stupidity of some posters. Let me ask you, Tigercowboy, if YOU know it’s due to the offense don’t you think the NFL GMs would know?

This is retarded. Marshall made a lot of money for himself playing this year.
