Time for LA to step up and make it 6 lanes all the way to Lafayette

Making it 6 lanes to BR is a pipedream that will never happen

Idk if you've heard but we are a little busy winning the war against covid and flattening the curve over here in LA. We'll get to tending to our roads real soon don't worry.

It’s more likely it becomes 6 lanes from Houston to L.A.

It'll never be finished in time

Seriously that stretch in TX has been in construction going on at least 20 years

A more truthful statement has never been made.

Edit: For our neighbors in TX, feel free to enjoy our newly three laned stretch of interstate when traveling to Prairieville, but please wear a mask and don't travel with more than one occupant in the car as they are mobile super-spreaders.

Orange TX area interstate construction has been going on for like 30 years. God bless those folks.

All the barriers between the Sabine and Winnie make me feel like I’m Ayrton Senna though.

Still sooner than La every three laneing a major portion of I-10 between the cities in La. Also where tf is I-14 and I-69, Louisiana could use those. And fix I-49 while you're at it you shameless bastards in office.

Well since Beaumont to the State Line is basically La by default I'm not shocked that they are having construction difficulties.

Only took 30 years

Would take Louisiana 100 years to 6 lane it to BR

I can’t even imagine the shitshow that would be expanding the spillway to three lanes

Naw that’s all TXDOT’s doing

Although LADOTD would do an even worse job

I haven't been on 10 between laffy and BR in years since I gave up on it and take 190 if I have to go that way, but wasn't there talk of three laneing both sides (Laffy side and BR side) up until the spillway? Or did that ever happen, lol I'm guessing it hasn't given context clues.

Ahh ok, yeah I thought I had heard that. Makes sense, although I fear it will create more issues on the spillway itself when everyone starts having to slow down and merge back to two. The spillways really are probably a huge PITA to plan around but I am sure our State officials are immensely capable of creating a sufficient and efficient roadway for us citizens.

There was a ground breaking last week to 6 lane from the state line through Vinton. It is already 6 lanes from east of Vinton to 210 in LC. The big hurdle is building a new bridge in LC. 10 is 6 lanes again east of LC to the Jeff Davis Parish line.

Louisiana and Texas both seem to love building roads.

By my observation, though, Texas is the only one interested in actually finishing them.

Huey Long told us that interstate was coming, he just didn't say when.
