I’m going to go with Honey Badger as well. Franks doesn’t make those long throws last week with him back there and Trask would definitely be more challenged in a few weeks.

We can only pick one?

TM is not a bad pick. Our biggest needs are corner, safety and QB. By far, QB is the most important position, so I would take the best QB in LSU history (aside from Burrow) which is obviously Bert Jones. Jones was a John Elway level talent at a time when the passing game just was not as emphasized.
If I can't pick a QB I'd go to safety. We have the box safety, in Stevens, so I would go with Eric Reid or Liffort Hobley. We need someone to captain that secondary, that's why I went safety instead of corner, and also why I went Reid over the two best safeties we've ever had - Adams and Delpit.
My third choice would be corner, and while Tyrann would be a great pick, I'm taking the second best cover corner in the history of college football, Patrick Peterson. With Peterson and Stingley, I can play press man against anyone. Flott can handle most #3's.

Steltz would drop hammers. Going watch highlights on YouTube right now.
To answer OP - probably White. The D needs a leader more than they need raw talent.

Steltz's coverage strategy was let them catch it, knock them out

Patrick Peterson. Shut down corner who could free up others in coverage. And a very dangerous punt returner.
Laron Landry. Can cover, tackle, great leadership.
Chad Jones. Would whip this defense into shape fast. An amazing talent who would have been a pro bowler every year. Still breaks my heart.
