Actually a good bit of Pels expected Ingram to do exactly what he did. Based on his high draft pick, his work ethic and more importantly, what he was able to show with the Lakers, after Bron was hurt and Ingram was the point forward-- post All Star Break.

Ingram was the centerpiece of that trade just like Tatum would have been. I fully expected Ingram to be an All-Star caliber player, LAST YEAR.
