It is probably the one true critique of Finley that is concerning the most against Arkansas and for the rest of the season. What happens when he faces tougher defenses, will he still see ghosts? Much of the commentary by these SEC Network announcers was god awful, but this one they nailed.

Pocket presence is one of the things that is most easily developed IMO. It comes with coaching and experience. Finley has the things you can’t teach like size, arm strength, confidence, accuracy.

No, they really didn't. Stinchcomb was blabbing about this multiple times after the TD, as if the fact he threw a damn TD to take the lead wasn't the story. Finley moved in the pocket, kept his eyes downfield, and threw a good pass. "Seeing ghosts" is only a thing if he's pulling the ball down to escape pressure that isn't there. Again, he kept his eyes downfield and threw the ball right after moving in the pocket.

He only looks right then he rolls right. Instinctively he knows he’s cornering himself and that’ll tend to make you jumpy. A lot of the plays he makes are desperation throws like the ones he throws back across field which are very poor decisions. A QB should be anticipating not winging it as much as he does. Thank god he’s got ability.

It's really annoying when people regurgitate football talk buzz words when they have no understanding of the game.

He's not seeing ghosts.
Finley is a freshman, stayed composed, and made mostly good decisions and throws.
I think everyone can agree those announcers sucked.
Blowhard drama queens.

We just need a few trick plays against A&M and Florida early in the games. That will throw them off

I think Finely has acquitted himself admirably. Like any freshman, he has a lot to learn. I would say he has played no worse than Nix did last year.

I honestly believe he has better pocket presence than Myles.

Whether TJ see ghost, or can't read defenses, or make poor choices, or always roll right, or how inaccurate he may be at times. He still went 8-11 on third throws, with 6 of them converting for first downs for over 100 yards with one of them being dropped on a back shoulder to Jaray in the first quarter. Whether you think TJ can play or not, those are impressive numbers no matter who the opponents was.

Finley is playing very well for a true Freshman. Honestly, what were your expectations for this season after knowing LSU had lost 32 players from last years roster with about half of them going into the NFL? Then LSU lost its’ starting QB. LSU was supposedly putting in a new Defense with only 3 defensive starters returning and had no Spring and a short Fall practice to get ready to play. No game atmosphere, no fans, piped in crowd noise, and players opting out, and cardboard cutouts. Some of you act like this is a normal season. Ridiculous.
