Could it happen?

Could what happen? A trade? No.

Who knows, we might be able to get him the same way we got Brees, he suffers a catastrophic injury, doctors place doubt on his ability, Saints scoop him up and he proves the haters wrong while dominating for the next ten years.

I wish.
1. Not the end of his contract like Brees
2. No viable replacement (Rivers)
3. It's a knee injury less severe than that of Teddy B or Alex Smith

Yeah... I'd love for it to happen, and legitimately I think he could thrive in this system, but it's not going to happen, at least this/next year. Bengals aren't going to part with their Ace, at least not for anything remotely reasonable.

Yeah you're right, but who knows if the Bengals will actually build a solid O-line around him. He could be in for a ton more punishment unless the Bengals organization gets their head out of their arse.

It's not for a lack of trying. They've drafted linemen in the first round in 18 and 19.

I think yes. We will trade drew for burrow right now. I’ll take a totally blown knee for a handful of cracked ribs and punctured lung.

Taysom Hill for an injured Joe Burrow? Gladly.

What’s the prognosis for this injury? 9-12 month rehab is scary sounding, but can he come back 100%?

better chance that Ole Miss becomes relevant again

Well, I can't see the Bengals winning another game so most likely they will have the 2nd pick in the draft. If you think Fields is as good or better prospect than Burrow it would make sense to trade Burrow add Fields and get a bunch of picks/players with that to actually build a team around. I doubt Burrow plays in 2021 and it won't be until 2022 until he plays again, so I could see the rational behind the Bengals trading Burrow.

Drafting 2 franchise QBs in 2 years because you couldn’t protect the first one is an insane move.

If the bengals end up with the second pick then they should move back a slot or two and draft Sewell

Doubtful. Also don’t Joe will be back before the 2022 season. The “additional” structural damage is major.

His injury may make the Bengals better by the time he is playing again. They could possibly end up with top 3 picks this year and next.

Crab legs plus 25 million cash for JB.
