I know it’s been mentioned before, but what is a chaffle?

A waffle made of cheese and eggs. Low carb.

Chaffle

Many different recipes, some sweet, some plain, some savory.

The plain one we use for waffles(chaffels), hamburger buns and sandwiches.

Makes 5 - 6

2 Tablespoons butter
3 ounces cream cheese
3 Tablespoons Almond Flour
3/4 teaspoons baking powder
3 eggs

Directions:

Melt butter.

Add cream cheese to soften.

Stir in the almond flour and baking powder.

Add eggs and beat until incorporated.

Heat dash waffle iron. Add 1/4 cup of batter.

Cook until lightly browned (5 minutes).

When cool, toast in toaster until crispy or desired browned.

Friend,

I am honored you might try my suggestion. It looks delicious. Did you get the cantina or restaurant style Great Value tortilla chips? Both are 82 cents, but the restaurant style bag gives an extra two ounces of chips. They are thicker than the cantina style chips. I know this is out of character, but when it comes to Great Value chips, I splurge and get the cantina style because they have a nicer texture.

Yours,

Thank you! I get it now that you mentioned almond flour. I thought before it was just an egg and cheese mixture and wondered how in the world that was a bun substitute.

Sorry I didn't see this last night.

I had a little over a pound of shelled and deveined shrimp, which I boiled in seasoned water for three minutes, then drained and immediately put bowl of shrimp in freezer to chill (too lazy to put in bowl of icy water).

Finely diced some red onion and a little green onion and also diced (not finely) an avocado. Removed shrimp from freezer and combined all. Added a few sprigs of fresh dill weed. Seasoned. Next, about 1/4 cup of mayo. Folded ingredients together and tasted for seasoning. Adjusted.

It's much better if you can chill it all for at least an hour. You can eat it as is, or put it in a tortilla or whatever.
