Have a glass of wine, Christmas Tree lit, home alone 2 on tv, christmas tunes playing gently on google home in back ground.

Can’t help but wish I peaked in the 1950’s/60’s instead of the 2020’s with Bing Crosby, Frankie Sinatra, and Johnny Cash. Drive an olds mobile. No cell phones or video games. Americans weren’t pussies. Simpler times

I think I speak for all of us here when I say we wish you did too.

I used to think that, but now I just realize I'm getting older.

Didn’t you just get married last week?

I hope your husband is out back smoking a cigar and poking a fire

I recommend watching the movie Midnight in Paris when feeling this way.

What a great time to raise a family too. I’m a woman and love my career, but I admire all the women who enjoyed raising and caring for their families and homes while their husbands worked.

I have a theory that we have not evolved enough to handle this. Human beings are already horrendous at statistics, and combining that with people now living their entire lives in bubbles, and you get chaos.

Growing up & being a teenager in the 80's was the greatest. No cell phones, people were real, & the greatest music ever.

Same here. I always think I should have been around in post-WW2 timeframe as well.

As much as I use it, I hate the internet and cell phones. I can’t quit it myself. Like Uncle Rico, I wish we could go back.

Wish I had grown up in the 1930s and had been a fighter pilot in WWii.

Born in '78 but 65 would have probably been closer to ideal for me.

Being a kid in the 80’s and a teenager/early 20s in the 90s wasn't bad though.

Mid 80’s to the early 2000’s was the greatest

I know this isn't the movie/tv board ... but is Midnight in Paris good? I have it on my list to watch but I haven't gotten around to it yet
