They just added more gold in the paint plus HD shows better detail.

I agree with the original poster. The color of the pants they have now are especially bad.

Maybe because I’m used to what they wore in the 90s and 2000s but I always preferred that color of gold.

This. I like the helmet better now but it looks so off because the pants are nowhere close to matching the gold on the helmet.

Exactly. The jersey looks way off when the shade of gold on the helmet and pants don't match.
