This is a guy I follow on YT and he recently did a full review (about 12 minutes long) on The Red River Range in Shreveport, LA.

Thought you guys might enjoy watching this video.

I belong to this range...

IMO its very nice/clean range with professional courteous staff...

having said that I have only belonged to two different ranges in my lifetime so its not like I have a broad base of experience to draw from...

I've shot rifles there once and it was better than I expected to find in shreveport. I dislike having to have an employee babysit me as a general rule, but he turned out to be a pretty fun guy and we had a good time with some of the running target options he as showing us.

I know they spent a ton of money building it and it is centrally located in Shreveport. I grew up with the current gunsmith, know the owners, and all the investors.

This had been in the works for three years before it finally came to fruition but they did a hell of a job on it.

I've only been once, but it was a good experience for what you would expect from an indoor range with rules. I was impressed with the facility. There was also a range I did my ccl renewal course in Bossier that was nice too, but I can't recall the name. Overall good experiences at both.

I normally hate shooting inside, and was hoping they would have outdoor gun shooting too. Jesus that 50 caliber rifle was loud when he shot it. That's why I'd rather shoot outside.

Might drive over on a rainy day.

I've never shot an automatic anything.

Very impressive. I will give it a try next time I'm in the area.

Same. My new favorite place is in Plaquemine (west of BR).

About a year old. Never busy.

I've been a couple of times, and it is a very nice facility. The air system is impressive. People can be blasting away around you, and you never smell gunsmoke.

There are memberships, but you can just drop in and shoot for $20 (pistol bays) or $25 (rifle range). You have to fill out some background info on a kiosk at the first visit, but after that just hand them your drivers license and get a bay assignment.

How much are the rentals?

I’ve never been to a range. I’ve always had plenty of farmland to go shoot on so I’ve never had a reason. It might be worth it to shoot a Tommy gun though.
