I think many people forget that hatred is just as powerful a motive as love - in fact, perhaps even stronger. That, even if almost no Democrats are thrilled about or like Biden, that they will still turn out in droves to get Trump out of office.

That (along with the self-imposed Covid restrictions) explains why Biden can only get small crowds - few voters care enough about Biden himself to see him - but Democrats are still turning out colossal early voting numbers - because they hate Trump.

A lot of Trump supporters point to the lack of enthusiasm for Biden as a sign that Democrats aren't going to turn out to vote. That is a mistake. They will, and will turn out huge. They hate Trump far more than they love Biden, but hatred will get them to the polls anyway.

Voting history has shown this to be false.

Last time "voting against" the incumbent led to victory.

Go.

Enthusiasm gets you out the door. Hate keeps you on the couch.

You've been calling for a Biden landslide for weeks. Now that this possibility doesn't seem likely, you're trying to convince yourself Biden will roll. You're either a DU shill or a coward cuck. Either way, frick off.

In theory but I can promise there were millions of folks that hated Obama but weren't motivated to vote for McCain or Mittens.

Early voting returns in the swing states are favoring Republicans. ...... And traditionally, more Republicans than Democrats choose to vote on Election Day.

Joe Biden would not get the crowds Trump does if Covid wasn't a thing.

The low percentage of young voters tells me you’re wrong.

Factors like spite and pride are significant, tangible factors.

They are often primarily overlooked flaws of the Coase Theorem, in my view.

They won’t turnout huge. The huge turnout you think you’ve seen so far is just dems who would have voted on Election Day choosing to vote early due to COVID.

Enthusiasm is only loosely related with "love". Enthusiasm is more like a hard on.

Has to be timed and cyclical

If this were true Obama would've lost in 2012.

It’s analytics. Repubs have about twice the number of available voters than the Dems. They shot their load early with mail in and early voting. Election Day belongs to repubs. While early and mail in voting is not opened yet, Party affiliation is and is public knowledge. They know the numbers.

I completely disagree. Voting against someone and not for someone is not a winning strategy
