1993 LSU vs Alabama

In 1993, during the dark ages of Tiger football, an unranked (3-5) LSU team faced unbeaten #5 (7-0-1) Alabama.
Averaging less than 16 points per game, LSU's offense had been abysmal. The Tigers' season reached its lowest point with a 58-3 loss to Florida at home. Other offenses also embarrassed LSU's defense, with Kentucky, Tennessee, and Auburn all scoring 30+ points on the Tigers.
Midway through a catastrophic season, no one gave the Tigers a chance to upset the defending national champions, but they did. The Tigers took down the Tide 17-13 in Tuscaloosa. The '93 Alabama team was later found guilty of NCAA violations and forced to forfeit all wins of the season. Even with their cheating, they couldn't take down a terrible Tiger team.
In less than 2 weeks, another struggling team of Tigers will once again face a highly ranked Bama team (that's probably cheating again) and be given no hope of victory by the media or most fans. The question is, will Alabama once again make the mistake of sleeping on LSU?

Not happening in two weeks. We’re losing by 50.

I appreciate the optimism and recollection. But Stallings' teams were so different than Saban's. Stallings had plodders that eventually wore you down. Saban has speed everywhere.
I was at said game and hope you're right,but....

I like your optimism, but Bama is going to skull drag this team to the tune of at least 63 points.

Jay Barker was hurt that game and this defense ain't got nothing like Gabe Northen.

I would die to have a Gabe Northern on our defense right now.
