What’s the hold up? Tip is in a few weeks and we still don’t have a schedule out.

Have they said if any fans will be allowed in?

Agreed. Need something positive to look forward to after this abortion of a football season.

Wade mentioned a couple weeks ago that they were finalizing a couple of OOC contracts and then would release after, which was supposed to be last week sometime. I guess the contracts are taking longer than expected.

Ahh, the late 80's, early 90's all over again. We can't wait for the abomination of a football season to end, and we have a basketball team that is usually good. This year's team though, might be elite.

I think it will be a great team, we will miss Mays and his leadership, but we have tons of experienced talented guys. Watford will be a scoring machine

I know a man, and he said there is the possibility of opening the season in one of those "pod" deals in Lincoln, Nebraska where a few teams show up for a few days each and play each other.

Emphasis on "possibility"

Although specific dates weren't given, at the end of the most recent "Boot Up" podcast some details were given by Will Wade on where and who some of the games will be played at and against.

27 total games consisting of the following:

Will open the season in Lincoln, NE against 3 teams to be named later.

Will return to play LA Tech at home.

Will then play a couple of games in Atlanta, one being against South Florida.

Couple of home games before Christmas

SEC/BIG 12 Challenge

Then the 18 game conference schedule.

I guess my info wasn't so "inside" after all

At least they are going to a place where they will have no desire to leave their hotel room. Lincoln in November doesn't sound too plush.

Nov. 25th (day before Thanksgiving) is first day of the season; so if LSU is playing in the Nebraska pod, it’ll likely be a 2-3 games played over that long weekend since players will be out of school anyway.

Probably then see them play another pod over another weekend a couple of weeks after the first one when players are done with the semester.

They can't play a game until 11/25. SEC starts late Dec.

NAIA LSUA started today.
Why are we starting so much later?

Because it is the date the NCAA set.

Not sure I ever heard or read a reasoning, but I think it was b/c of most of the OOC games being played in these pods; so they wanted to push it to a time and cram as much in that wouldn’t require players missing much school and having to travel too much.

When will I be able tell them to push my season tickets to next year? Not dealing with all this Covid bullshite all year with an already shortened season, but they’ve already got my money. Any news on how they plan to handle that?
