Yea i know he didnt play but hes playing next week and the rest of the year and hes horrible. Got to be someone out there that is better than Dalton

Honestly someone Dalton's experience and at least average QB play is generally as ideal of a back-up as you could get.
With that said there is nothing Dalton can do for the team. The offensive line is trash and the team has a whole has completely given up - especially after Dak went down.
You guys probably saw when Bridgewater took a bad hit the Panthers erupted and a fight almost broke out. Same thing happened between the Seahawks and Niners after Wilson took a shot.
Last week Dalton was knocked out by a pretty fricking bad cheap shot and not a single Cowboy could be bothered to defend their QB. They hardly stirred or flinched a muscle. I'm not sure I've ever seen a QB take such a shot as Dalton did and have his own team react with complete indifference.
The team has given up and there's nothing Dalton or anyone else can do about it.
