How much blame does he share for the ridiculous contract we have with Pellinni. If you look at the contract he gave Fisher at ATM, what makes you think he is such a great AD?

I’ve been nothing short of disappointed with Woodward since he came on board. Giving contracts with ridiculous buyouts to washed up retread coaches that no other schools would touch.

Woodward is a dumbass for giving O such a huge raise after 2019. O wasn't going anywhere. He's now the 2nd highest paid coach in CFB. Hell, he makes more than Dabo.

Everyone is laughing at us. This season is embarrassing.

What's funny is Jimbo (for now) has Aggies in the right direction.

At the time it was a move LSU should never do but a good move for Aggies. They had to try something.

Here's something that is now debatable. As of right now going forward if you had to have Orgeron or Jimbo be your coach for the next 7 years who would you take?

I honestly don’t mind paying the coaches a lot especially with incentives. But the huge buyouts are plain stupid especially with a coach like Pelini that had no leverage. So I’m not as impressed as some other guys on here .

Come on dude, be serious. You’re gonna lowball the coach that just won a Natty completing the greatest season in college football history because he’s “not going anywhere?” Be serious.

2.5 million of his “salary” this year is part of his life insurance policy that is being paid over two years. His base salary is not higher than Dabo’s. His base is less than Saban and Jimbo and about 125k higher than Smart and 175k higher than Malzahn.

Let's talk about the Pelini contract and buyout. Looking at Fisher's contract, is Woodward someone who can be trusted to be financially responsible? At ATM, money was no object and he could just throw the money around
Is LSU in the same position to support this?

The only thing unusual about Fisher’s contract was the length of the guarantee. $7.5M for a coach that won a NC and was successful at another P5 is not ridiculous in the current climate. He identified the guy he wanted and got him. That’s what good ADs do. If Jimbo doesn’t win a NC that doesn’t make it a bad decision to hire him

So what is he saying?
Why is the sports media not interviewing him for comment ?

Where in my post did I insinuate that he be lowballed? I think he deserved a raise but not 75%. He was paid around $4 mil in 2019 and he was bumped up to at least $7 mil a year with a new 6 year deal. That's a massive increase considering noone else was trying to steal him away. Now he has this massive buyout.

Perhaps so but according to USA Today he is 2nd highest paid HC.
