The question is how they are doing now. And without looking I can assure you that their result is drastically better than us and the rest of Europe.

Sweden?

They're middle of the pack in Europe, doing worse than most countries in the same population range as them.

I'm not sure why people prop up Sweden in either direction. They haven't done it better than everyone else based on deaths per 1M, and they haven't done it worse than everyone else by not locking down. They've just been in the middle, not good/not bad. Now you can certainly argue not locking down and remaining middle ground is the way to go to save your economy, I'd agree. But they haven't outperformed all these other countries like many seem to insinuate.

Of the 15 countries with at least 10mil population, they have the 5th highest deaths per 1million

Dude, Sweden had zero Covid deaths on 10/29. One on 10/28. One on 10/27. In the whole freaking country. Are you really trying to tell us they are in the "middle of the pack" in Europe? I was asking how they are doing now.

OF 95 YEAR OLD PEOPLE! Who gives a shite. They are going to die of something. You all need to find another hill to die on.

That is the other aide of the argument, the balance. “Performance” is function of more than one variable, you are downplaying the bolder one.
