yeah it's such a weak argument

there is the "kids in cages" photo op, that has died b/c we aren't even seeing that sort of immigration

and...that one time he may have tear gassed rioters for his own photo op?

there really isn't much to point out in terms of actual authoritarian rule

But what about whenever he left things up to the states and local governments to manage the pandemic and civil unrest rather than consolidate power?

We're essentially moving in the direction to a fascist economic model. I'd argue we're there but the federal government still doesn't have the power over local municipalities to be technically correct. The next true radical can probably get us across the finish line.
