Which places are did you stop at?

It was hours after a hurricane that knocked out power for like 150k in the city. I’m guessing on a normal day they may be more apt to have the capability

My suspicion is he’s telling half truths. Crazy, I know.

There are over 10 precincts in New Orleans where the median income of the household is lower than the national median income in Botswana.

Had to stop at 3 different gas stations before finally finding one that accepted cards.

Yeah, I don't believe this at all.

New Orleans: The Botswana of America!

Has a nice ring to it.

One of these is not like the others and I've spent a lot of time in each. Hell, one of them actually has no military.

Latoya went to Ghana ranked 142nd on the UN development index not Botswana ranked 94th for good reason.

Ghana of America, ok, not Botswana of America.

It’s obvious that most of you people have no idea about New Orleans. Perhaps your meager social stature prevents you from access to the real New Orleans. You’ve been to a gas station in the east but have never been to a private party uptown. You don’t even know HOW to find the finer parts.

I enjoy when you blue blood types proclaim how great your city and culture are when a lowly commoner speaks the truth about how shitty NOLA is.

Have you ever been to a real Third World country like Santo Domingo, Boca Chica or Juan Dolio in the DR?

I grew up in Hancock County but we'd have our antenna pointed west and get our "local" news out of New Orleans. My dad would always comment, "It's like watching the news from a third-world country." That was over 20 years ago.

did your dad have the other antenna pointed towards a third world country?

How may antennas did your trailer park allow you to have?

The only blue bloods in New Orleans left are old, and most of their children and grand children left a long time ago.

I get the impression that most of the New Orleans fans on this board are those who left the country or maybe even suburbs in the past fifteen years.

The first 5-10 minutes of each newscast was about some kind of murder or government corruption. The rest was sports and weather.
