Okay, I heard that Meachum had a long TD. I just watched SC and they didn't show it. Anyone know where I can see it?

Oh yeah, lets not drink the Meachum kool-aid just yet. We had an awesome preseason last year and look where that got us. Having said that, if Meachum shows up this year I'll come on hear and take my lickings. I've always thought he was a bad pick.

Watch the Top 10 plays, it's on there. As far as the Meachum Kool Aid, you're right. The play came in the 4th quarter against guys that probably won't make the team. Outstanding play, but let him do it against the 1's before you suck him off.

It tastes good too!!
I was just happy to see him making plays. He's a number one pick for a reason and he's finally heathy enough, and up to speed with the NFL, so he can play up to his potential. Looking forward to seeing him lined up oppo Colston.

Here's a link. You'll need to select the Saints-Card video at the bottom. Meach's TD is at about the 2:25 mark.

I liked the story about him working with Patton. Hope he whips him into shape and teaches him how to be a good pro.

When he caught the ball he made two extremely nice moves and then cut across the field and down the sideline. When he was on the sideline he then did a nice job to stay on his feet, but the Cardinals defender quite possibly made the absolute worst attempt at a tackle I've seen in my lifetime. I came on here and I literally saw people saying how it was a "great stiff-arm" and I really couldn't read anymore.

It's funny that people FREAKED out at the Meachem haters after 4 games last preseason against 3rd stringers he sucked, BUT after 1 game against 3rd stringers he did well and everybody is saying "I told you so"

It was one game agaist 2nd and 3rd stringers. He looked vastly improved last night, but once again, it was 1 game in the preseason against people who are going to get cut.

It's mainly the fact that he's healthy now. He was nowhere near 100% last preseason.

It was a great run....but was it just me or when he was turning it up the sidelines during the run didn't he look kind of....slow???

i wouldn't say slow. He's a big guy with long stride. Don't take this the wrong way , EVERYONE, but he reminded me of T.O. on that play.

uhhh you mean when people judged his entire career off of preseason games when he was clearly hurt? Oh wait that knee injury was fake right? And again I have yet to see anyone call him a pro bowler just make fun of how stupid some people look for labeling him a bust so soon.

also hist first few catches were not against scrubs.

I thought he looked a little slow at first. But after watching the replay, I really think he was shitting his pants screaming, like the nerdy kid from Little Giants, I'm gonna score a touchdown, I'm gonna score a touchdown. It seemed like he didn't know where the hell he was supposed to go to get around that last defender. Great game Meach, just remeber, that big area with orange things on the side and a big yellow metal thing in the back of it is your friend.

Yeah the replay is tough to find...thought I might catch it on the Saints Postgame show last night, but they had to cover the oh-so-interesting Brett Favre story...on the SAINTS POSTGAME SHOW!

It was a good play though, whether it was agasint third-stringers or not. He's showing improvement in catching, running with the ball, looking for blockers, tight-roping the sideline, etc. I think he'll be a good weapon this season.

That was exactly what I thought when I watched it. They guy is so cut from the Cardinals.

It was an impressive run after the catch.

Thanks for the links guys.
