horseshite. When Sammy married a white woman in the 50s - very taboo - Frank and the gang stood beside Sammy. Also, there were times on the road Sammy wasn't going to be allowed to stay in the same establishments as Frank and Frank threatened to leave until Sammy was cleared to stay. Sammy didn't just hang around because of the money.
