That includes his 5-11 inaugural season back in 2000. He also had a losing record at Cleveland before hitting his stride with the Patriots starting in 2001. Kinda makes you wonder a few things, doesn't it?

The best part is remembering talking heads on ESPN...cough, Ryan Clark...say before the season that the Pats would be better with Cam than Brady.

Yes, that winning in the nfl is tough when your qb stinks.

You are acting as if the Pats didn't lose the GOAT qb. I think it is reasonable to expect quite the dropoff.

And that was with the Ravens and not the current Browns.

Personally I think it’s literally insane that people try to argue one isn’t great either way but if the shoes were on the other foot people would be losing their mind to say that everything Brady has ever accomplished has been due to Belicheck Not surprised the pendulum is swinging the other way in result

Here’s a crazy idea: both of them are one of if not the greatest to ever do what they do and greatness isn’t a zero sum game

He's probably the saddest fanboy on this site outside of bobbyray's weird obsession with Nadal

Brady is one of the best QBs of all time

Bill is one of the best coaches of all time

But OP is disingenuous in his stat. After the first season which was the rebuild, Bill is 15-12 without Brady, which includes a season he went 10-6 with a backup QB

ETA: Or was it 11-5 with a backup?

Bill is the GOAT, no doubt. His GM skills deserve to be criticized

Now this is very true

People suck him off here all basically because of the Randy Moss move, but honestly he has had more failures in this space than success

Eh Cam was a gamble and it’s not paying offs they haven’t invested anything higher than a 4th in a QB since Jimmy G who they traded.

I mean you can say that for any GM, especially over a 20 plus year sample size.

He has a glaring weakness at identifying and prioritizing play makers for the offense, but has still brought in really good to elite talent through trades and the draft and through UDFA.

The defense is still really good this year with a ton of young dudes trying to fill roles and learn how to play, he’s just built a roster that’s designed to play against the Chiefs, instead of a team like the 49ers

If he could magically hire whoever grows the unicorn WRs in Pittsburgh, there would be no stopping him

To highlight how bad he is at that one thing, he called Scott Pioli back in the day and implored him not to trade up for Julio Jones because he could get Jon Baldwin at the back end of the draft and to Belicheck there wasn’t that big of a difference between the two WRs

Yep, and the OP started this thread way too early IMHO, and it may bite him later

Pats still have this remaining

Jets Twice
Fins
Texans
Bills twice(we look helpless)

The only game they really fricked up losing is the Broncos game, which I kinda give them a break considering they went two weeks without practicing

Pats need to let Damien Harris feast and call every team about the availability of their top 3 WRs. Don’t care how insane it may sound, call all 31 teams

Hell they should call Tampa and negotiate with their GM, Tom Brady about grabbing Mike Evans for Edleman

Also should call about vet TEs like Kyle Rudolph. There’s too many good TEs in this league this year for the Pats to be putting Ryan Izzo out there every week.

Eh should be removed - he had to change that culture and get new players in there.

It's Cleveland. He's also still the last coach there to make the playoffs I believe. He had that team turning around and ownership/GM wouldn't get out of his way so he left.

Except he was coaching the Ravens and not the current Browns.
