This is unfortunate. I’ve spent a lot of time in Chile, have some good friends there. It was a fascinating country to do business in throughout the ‘90’s and last decade, but the masses could never get over the violence Pinochet exacted on his opponents. But they had a twenty or so year run where the form of capitalism they practiced was truer than ours.

I’ve been to Atacama and Punta Arenas/Puerto Natales.

One of the greatest leaders in the history of the Western hemisphere.
Did what he had to do in the cold war struggle. His "economic miracle" influenced many western countries including the U.S.
