This must be the Dark Winter is upon us thread. A lot of daunting stuff here, and plenty of it is true. Easy to feel discouraged. But remember, like in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, there is a deeper magic still that is at work among us. There are millions and millions of imperfect but good and faithful people here, along with he messed up ones. Quiet patriots and believers, with whom God is at work, bringing about his purpose through the small things and the large. Remember God uses not only Saints, but also broken people, to do some of his most surprising and greatest works. Paul was a persecutor of Christians, Moses was a murderer, David was an adulterer, Jesus was a poor carpenters son, Peter was a profane, common fisherman, to mention a few. Luther was thrown out of the Catholic Church, Calvin was willing to burn his opponents at stake (and did). Augustine was a moral bankrupt.

Don’t give up on America! One nation, under God. and God is not gone, even if we can’t clearly see.
