It's coming down the pike regardless...the money has dried up and it's all chasing transition/green energy. That's why you're seeing the big consolidations at the large cap and majors level and the bankruptcy shitshow at the mid to small cap level.

You can probably double it with all the folks who support the O&G industry.

Think everybody down the bayou that doesn’t work for an O&G or service company. They all would be affected.

since 2014 I'd bet that number, at least on the E&P and midstream side, is 1/2 of what it was
In 2015, these energy resources supported 10.3 million jobs and contributed more than $1.3 trillion to the U.S. economy.

This what Biden said about oil and gas.

quote:

Well if you let me finish the statement, because it has to be replaced by renewable energy over time, over time, and I’d stopped giving to the oil industry, I’d stop giving them federal subsidies. You won’t get federal subsidies to the gas, oh, excuse me to solar and wind.

He takes everything out of context, but the point is, look, we have to move toward net zero emissions. The first place to do that by the year 2035 is in energy production, by 2050 totally.

Enlighten me. Tell me what you know about O&G investment and the state of the industry.

I’m curious, where do they come up 2035 metric or goal? I was under the impression that by 2020, the polar icecaps would have been completed melted and we would be living in Waterworld.

2014, Q3, prices collapsed and the layoffs began, haven’t stopped and have intensified recently due to cost cuts, mergers and bankruptcies...so since 2014.

Hundreds of millions of dollars in expansions either in the planning stages or already under construction along the gulf coast.

And guess what? Not a damn one of them has to to with green energy. These companies are about making money, not pissing it away.

Take your lying talking points and marching orders back to DU where they belong.

$ committed well before 2014 if we’re talking lng. Also if you read my prior post carefully I did mention the Petro-chem biz wasn’t as hard hit. But the E&P side is a disaster and there the $ has dried up and has moved to chasing green energy projects for a whole host of reasons - ESG and negative returns in o&g being the leading cause. In fact, regarding losing $, that is precisely the result to date of the shale revolution - massive capital destruction, massive shareholder losses.

I’d suggest you check out a PEC report from time to time if you have access. Traditional O&G production is going nowhere but upwards in the future, as it should

Here we go. So for shits and giggles let’s assume that 1 gas station employs 5 people. Granted, it is not a high skill job, but a job none the less. That would equate to 825,000 jobs lost.

It’s been said before. As the debate wore on, Biden was wearing very thin & his brain farts were on order.

Don’t kid yourself. This is Harris’ race folks.
