I’m curious, where do they come up 2035 metric or goal? I was under the impression that by 2020, the polar icecaps would have been completed melted and we would be living in Waterworld.

2014, Q3, prices collapsed and the layoffs began, haven’t stopped and have intensified recently due to cost cuts, mergers and bankruptcies...so since 2014.

Hundreds of millions of dollars in expansions either in the planning stages or already under construction along the gulf coast.
And guess what? Not a damn one of them has to to with green energy. These companies are about making money, not pissing it away.

$ committed well before 2014 if we’re talking lng. Also if you read my prior post carefully I did mention the Petro-chem biz wasn’t as hard hit. But the E&P side is a disaster and there the $ has dried up and has moved to chasing green energy projects for a whole host of reasons - ESG and negative returns in o&g being the leading cause. In fact, regarding losing $, that is precisely the result to date of the shale revolution - massive capital destruction, massive shareholder losses.

I’d suggest you check out a PEC report from time to time if you have access. Traditional O&G production is going nowhere but upwards in the future, as it should
