Until TJ can prove himself as a threat through the air we need to split those attempts in half and let Emery get hot. RB by committee is a trash concept

You are completely missing the point of what I'm saying. I agree with your opinion of what should happen. The running back rotation that we've seen suggests that there's no reason to think that it will happen.

Emery isn’t the guy to still get yards with a stacked box, so if they do that we should probably lean on Curry/TDP.

If they’re respecting the passing game, let Emery roll.

And what have you seen in the rotation that suggests that Emery will be the one to get those touches? Again, this should have happened last game and didn't

My hope is that the idiots have learned their lessons.

Me too, brother. I was shocked last week when Emery wasn't featured.

I don't think emery would have either. I think we are splitting hairs here. They are 2 different types of backs. Against some defenses Emery could be the guy. I do think as an all around back for power, speed and pass catching I like Price. They are both good backs for sure. We need the line to open up some holes and protect our qb.

Emery has got to touch the ball ATLEAST 18-22 times this game or I will have officially lost all hope

No need to even watch then.

He will get his normal 8-10

Emery is not a feature back. His pass protection is suspect and his hands are not as good as Price and Curry IDT. We have three backs with very different skill set. We show our hand when we use them for what they are best at. Curry is the most complete back but has dropped off in his run game. Price is showing improvement all around. Emery can scoot with the ball and is exiting to watch. Seems like he needs more time in the weight and film room. Rotating these backs might not give them enough touches to get in a groove. IDT Emery needs as many touches to get in that groove, only 16 inches of day light.

Opinion only, as I just watch the games.

I don't care who it is, we need to run the ball. Muschamp will stack the box with a freshman QB starting.

Curry needs more carries. However if we can’t block nobody Barry Sanders would have trouble.

Period.

If he is not running our normal offense, and we decide we have to run the ball... well, welcome back to running into loaded boxes because Boom will bet that we're going to do just that and test the QB with blitzes and make him throw against two damn good corners

Our old offense was running 1-2 receiver patterns which put 8-10 in the box

If we have 3 receivers plus gilbert on the field you already have less than 8 in the box and you have to trust your corners can cover Marshall and Gilbert 1 on 1

You think Bama and Clemson throw the ball every time a safety cheats up to stop Najee and Etienne?

Well Barry Sanders was exactly famous for having amazing OL.

But Curry isn’t Barry Sanders. He’s isn’t bad, but the only way he’s making plays on his own is when he pushes a pile and keeps his legs turning.

He had 53 yards on 14 carries this season and 12 came on one run where the pile got pushed another 8 yards.

Outside that run he’s averaging 3.2 YPC.

Emery is averaging 6.5 YPC 6 if you don’t count his longest run.

You can say “it’s Vanderbilt” all you want but Missouri has only looked good against us.

This is not true this season. He's been playing on 3rd down more than any other back for a reason

Curry is the most complete back

This is total bs. Curry doesn't fit this offense

What is that reason?

It seems that none of these backs "fit" our offense.

I don't care which back gets how many touches to be honest. Ride the hot back and run for 250 yards. Need to protect the young QB.

there is not enough to assess Emery based on games.

I can see what you are saying. I would word that post differently had I used more thought. Esp saying Emery is not a feature back. He might be, just not yet from the limited exposure I have seen only from games.

For me I wanna see the Offensive Line play solid in pass & run blocking.
Create a wall for the QB; give him time to do his thing. Lastly, create running lanes for Emery/TDP/Curry.
