I will preface this post with I was at this game and witnessed Harvey Williams lining up tackle adjacent in a standard inline TE position. I was told by a poster here that I did not witness this that Harvey never played TE.

So for anyone interested here is video evidence, this is the second game of the season, Chiefs vs. Raiders at Alameda County Stadium.

1997 Chiefs vs. Raiders

Starting at 7:40 he is playing the inline tackle adjacent TE position for 5 consecutive plays. ETA: it was actually 7 consecutive plays.

at 1:40 announcers noting his conversion to the TE position.

He originally played for the chiefs as running back. He finished his career as a tight end for the raiders. He played multiple years as a tight end.

After 1995, Williams lost his starting job to another first round pick, Napoleon Kaufman, and was eventually moved to tight end. In 1997, he had perhaps his most memorable game as a pro, scoring 4 touchdowns in a 38–13 win over the San Diego Chargers. He stayed with the Raiders until his release after the 1998 NFL season.
