Video of Harvey Williams playing in line TE in 1997

I will preface this post with I was at this game and witnessed Harvey Williams lining up tackle adjacent in a standard inline TE position. I was told by a poster here that I did not witness this that Harvey never played TE.
So for anyone interested here is video evidence, this is the second game of the season, Chiefs vs. Raiders at Alameda County Stadium.
1997 Chiefs vs. Raiders
Starting at 7:40 he is playing the inline tackle adjacent TE position for 5 consecutive plays. ETA: it was actually 7 consecutive plays.
at 1:40 announcers noting his conversion to the TE position.

He originally played for the chiefs as running back. He finished his career as a tight end for the raiders. He played multiple years as a tight end.

After 1995, Williams lost his starting job to another first round pick, Napoleon Kaufman, and was eventually moved to tight end. In 1997, he had perhaps his most memorable game as a pro, scoring 4 touchdowns in a 38–13 win over the San Diego Chargers. He stayed with the Raiders until his release after the 1998 NFL season.

Missed that whole thread, how did he reconcile that rule with #7 doing that for the Saints weekly? Or how WRs can't wear single digit #s but QBs regularly line up at WR when they're in the wildcat?

He's lurking & downvoted you for stating a fact. He's hiding like a bitch & avoiding this thread like its the plague.

yeah
But just think of The Fridge scoring a TD. It's one of the most famous plays in history. There's like a million examples that contradict that being the rule.

Because he knew no one cared that much to find the game tape, therefore it was a lie

You can't tell a tard any better though. He just dug his heels in & refuse to acknowledge he was wrong.

I wonder how many times he’s read this thread today

The number rules were based on players primary positions, but if they switched positions they could keep the number. As far as where they lined up, it could and still can be anywhere with the caveat that 50-79 have to report to be in an eligible position (like the fridge or the guard for San Fran that gave them the idea)
Todd Christensen started as a FB before moving to TE. If I recall right Rod Bernstein played some games at RB with a number in the 80s.
Reggie Rucker wore 33...but he was a few years before those guys, so I’m not sure if he had switched positions or the rules were different then.
