Bo Pelini has brought LSU the worst defense in all of college football. This man does not deserve more time and should be canned yesterday. Woodward gave him the terrible contract he has, O thought he was a good hire and still makes excuses for him, and Pelini obviously sucks arse. So who takes the fall?

The contract is fricking mind boggling for a coordinator. But, everyone loves Woodward

O can’t ignore the obvious. I doubt we struggle on defense vs USCe but if we continue to be a disaster on defense, Bo will be sacrificed. O’s not falling on his sword for anyone.
You would have thought he learned a lesson about properly vetting a coordinator hire but apparently not.

We are the most underachieving defense in college football right now, but I’m watching two legitimately worse defenses play right now. They are UCF and Memphis. They lack talent and coaching. Total shitshow.

. That contract was for O. Nothing more and nothing less. He said, “Look at 2019 and if you want us to keep moving forward, I need a proven DC. Just let me manage my team”. Woodward is giving him what he wants and he wanted Bo. That’s on O and on Woodward for catering to him because of 2019. If it did t work out, O would have had an excuse. If he did, he has a way to get rid of both...

I believe statistically, Ole Piss’ defense is the worse in football, but ok, I can go along with this!

O obviously still believes in the fire & brimstone approach creates a great defense over great technique, fundamentals & an intellectually based scheme. This explains his infatuation with Pelini & his subtle jabs at Aranda.

False: we are 48th in scoring defense in the country. We finished 27th last year with the “best defensive coordinator ever” in Dave Aranda.

Try again.

Such a ridiculous contract to give a guy to leave Youngstown State.

Shouldn't have been so all in on a guy so dated.

Better off hoping he turns it around, because I can't see how they eat that contract.

So who takes the fall?

You hit the nail on the head. Scott and Ed.

Ed gets credit for the piss poor selection. Scott gets credit for the insanely lucrative contract that everyone called extremely overpaid the day he was hired.

He was making 214k a year at Youngstown state and Woodward gave him a 3 year - 2.3/year fully guaranteed contract. That’s a fricking retarded contract and has to raise some concerns.

Should have started at 1 mil / 3 years and went to a max of 1.5.

Also these fully guaranteed contracts have to go. It should have been a buyout of 1 mil first year, 750k then 500k.

We could be out of this experiment for 2.5 this year but if we fire Bo now it’ll cost us 6.9.

It’s a pathetic excuse for a contract and anyone who defends Woodward over it is doing it because they hated Alleva that much

pelini has to take the fall, not so much because he doesn't know how to coach on the field, but because he has lowered morale on the team to such a low point that it won't recover. simply put, they hate him and orgeron has let it happen - for whatever reason.
