Clyde Phillips returning as well is big news. Show was clearly nowhere near as good when he left after season 4.

Very excited for this.

My sister was hired on when Clyde was still there. I told her she better call or email someone to see if she can go back for this.

Yeah having the original showrunner back is massive. That's probably a more important piece of this than getting michael hall back lol.

100% agree

Say what you want about the last half of the series, the first half is as enjoyable as many of the greats imo.

I looked forward to Dexter as appointment TV almost as much as shows like Lost and GoT in their primes. Just fun and always left us wanting more and dying to know how it would all turn out.

If he can help recapture that magic, this will be an awesome revisit

The only reason I am not a fan of this move is that he has stated publicly how he wanted to end Dexter originally

I like the idea of rewriting the ending becuase that lumberjack shite sucked. But at this point (bringing the original show runner back) we already know the ending. Dexter comes to, realizing that every conversation he had with his dead father is actually with the jury and he wakes up at the Florida Penitentiary. Drugs about to be administered and Dexter looks out through the window to the observation gallery, and in the gallery are all the people that he killed

Pretty much pointless like El Camino was for Breaking Bad. I know Todd was an a-hole to Jesse based on their breaking bad interaction. I didnt need to see it El camino.
