do nursing homes and hospitals report COVID deaths the same way?

I didn’t look at OP’s link but that specific quote is on every weekly nursing home report

how did NOLA get away with no COVID deaths for several days in a row?

You mean of the people that died, for whatever reason, in that 7 day period not one of them tested positive for COVID?

right

that was my question

the quote is on the nursing home report, so my question was if nursing homes have a different procedure in reporting than hospitals?

I don't work in these fields so I have no idea if nursing homes don't have the capability or turn around times for autopsies as hospitals and such
