I don't know much about selling guitars or what the prices would be. I am selling a 1989 gun metal blue strat. I have researched and it was made in the Corona California factory. What is the best place to sell it and what would be a ballpark estimate of what I could get for it?

I would be willing to sell it to anyone on this board as well if you wanna help a brother out

Mint condition: $1700 -$2000 (depending)
Excellent + condition: $1100
Excellent condition: $850
Very good +: $675
Good: $425

Depending on if it comes with a case too..
All this is speculation though, need to know if there was more to it.

Try ebay or reverb

Why are you selling it? I would price somewhere between $850 and $1100 depending on condition. American Strats are beloved guitars, but they’re not rare, and ones from that era aren’t especially sought after. Heck, new ones without too many added bells and whistles go for around $1200-$1400, so just be thankful that it’s an asset that didn’t depreciate too much. I literally just bought a newish American tele like 2 weeks ago.

I don't know about ebay, but if you're trying to sell fast on reverb I'd throw it up there for $750 and take $700 if offered. Maybe with the color you could bump it up to $850, but there are a lot of those strats in black and other basic colors on reverb for $800 that have had price drops from $1000 because no one was biting.

Unless it's a 62 or 57 reissue, I'd say $800 at most. Unless the color gives a little bump.

I’ll give you 450 for it today if you can provide pics proving the condition.

If coming to CO, I’ll sweeten that deal with the devils lettuce from my company when you get here. 7 Stores in/around Denver. You just let me know.

As far as pics, when you get serious and pick the selling site, go to Reverb. Just to look at how those guys take pics and what they take pics of. It will help a lot in your sale. And as mentioned back of the headstock is a must. The bridge/trem looks American but plenty of people are full of shite out there.

You coming thru Shreveport? I’ll give you top dollar. Let’s get an honest opinion(value) from frettshack and go from there, I’ll help a young LSU student out.

Wonder how long the first string has been broken. And if that's going to require the new owner to dump some repair money into it.

Sell that ish bro, especially if it's your first time going skiing. Nothing compares to the LSU ski trip, I went 4 years in a row and some of my best memories in college happened on those trips.

You say you haven't played it in two years, you won't miss it a bit...but you will kick your own arse for what you missed out on when you hear the stories people tell when they get back. Take the money and run.

FWIW I sold my dirtbike to go on my first ski trip, no regrets at all. When I decided I missed it enough, I bought another dirt bike.
