Well this is the definition of a must win. Let’s hope that some of these hard hit balls start to find some grass and not leather. Let’s also hope that Jose Knoblauch has relearned how to throw.
It’s time for every DATer to make their sacrifices to Jobu.
It’s time for H tine to hol it dine.

Keep your eye on the ball and hit 'em where they ain't.
And they ain't over the fence. Except for Margot apparently.

So, how is it the Astros have only managed three runs in a pair of losses to the Rays? Make no mistake about it, Houston has had some pretty horrific luck, especially in Game 2.
Consider this: All five of Bregman's batted balls in Game 2 had an exit velocity of at least 98.4 mph, per Baseball Savant, yet he was 0-for-5 on the day.
Bregman faced Rays right-hander Nick Anderson with the bases loaded and the Astros trailing 4-2 in the ninth Monday. He lined a ball into the gap in right-center, a ball that had a respectable expected batting average (xBA) of .430, per Baseball Savant. Yet it was gloved for the final out.
Kyle Tucker had a pair of flyouts with xBA marks over .500, and George Springer's double-play ball in the ninth (which sort of killed Houston's momentum) had a .540 xBA.
Bleacher Report
This sort of luck has to change... just keep putting good swings on the ball.

2018 ALCS.

It's not only the batted ball bad luck but somehow the biggest situations in the game keep finding our worst hitters. Yuli and Maldy with the bases loaded in the game 1.

Well, we had Springer and Bregman with the bases loaded last night in the 9th and both put great swings on the ball.
You're right... it doesn't have to change... but it feels like it should.

I'm okay with The Good Guys continuing to hit seeds all over the field, definitely a little lucky through 2 but that's why it is Best-of-7.
Got a good feeling about U-Baw in primetime ShAdOwS

As long as frustration/complacency doesn’t set in they’re going to score runs. You can’t continue to hit missiles all over the field and not score like they’ve been. Just have to hope we continue to pitch well. The good part is we haven’t really dug too deep into our own pen in these two losses

That is why I haven't given up hope yet. The important arms should be fresh.
And Yuli and Reddick look somewhat like major league hitters again.
I think today is the day we find out if this clusterfrick is like the 2018 ALCS again...or if luck evens out in our favor and we make a series of it.

TV drinking game:
--Drink at the mention of "shadows"
--Drink anytime one of the other 2 announcers calls Jeff Francoeur "Frenchy"
--Drink any time an Astro hits a ball with exit velo of 95 or more that turns into an out.
--Call 911 because you probably have alcohol poisoning

Good thing about the Wuhan is that it looks like the Rangers won’t go after Springer. There was a lot of smoke about that pre-Chinese virus.
