Herman will be able to get a mid-level HC job. As enjoyable as it has been To see him struggle at Texas, it’s not like he’s been atrocious. He’s been okay, which isn’t good enough for Texas, but far from a complete failure ... he’s recruited well and done better than Charlie did there. And Charlie got USF after Texas.
Not to mention I feel pretty confident there are some burned bridges between Herman and LSU.

It’s better to be a coordinator at a big P5 school than be a HC at a G5 school these days

Offense isn’t losing games. Defense is. I do realize the offense couldn’t get a yard at the end, but shouldn’t even come down to that.

I’d take Herman as OC without hesitation.
Muschamp is overrated. He made his rep as Sabans DC when we all know Sabans was actually the DC

This. Even if Herman wanted the job (he wouldn’t), could you imagine Orgeron hiring the guy who passed on the HC job during his interim year as OC? That’s a recipe for massive dysfunction.
I know Orgeron has taken a lot of heat around here for hiring people he knows, but come on.
