Kiffin would be dangerous with LSU's talent and recruiting

What he did at USC is alarming though. He had all the resources to be successful, and didn’t make it four years.

I don’t want O fired. But I’m not giving him a pass on such bad offseason hires either.

He gets the benefit of the doubt and a chance to fix it. But if he doesn’t, I have no problem cutting ties after next year.

He didn't have the resources, he took over a program light on scholarships due to imposed sanctions.

Lane Kiffin

He has a resume. What is his history at Southern Cal, Tennessee, Oakland Raiders?

I don’t want Lane Kiffin anywhere near this program as HC. He is a disaster.

People are in love today because he moved the ball and put points on the board vs Bama. But he still lost by 2 scores. He will flame out at Ole Miss like he has everywhere else.

No I don't want to fire him. That's ridiculous.

Yeah, I agree. I checked his resume before I posted. I wondered if the folks enamored with him had done so.

Has literally done nothing as a head coach to warrant being hired.

I agree with this.

But we have all seen firsthand what coaches who flame out at programs like Ole Miss can do at programs like LSU.

I think Lane would be a lot of fun to watch at LSU and as others have said at least one side of the ball would always be counted on.

So the solution is to stick with Orgeron for years like we did with les miles? If Bo isn’t fired soon that’s not a good look for Orgeron who relies on successful coordinator hires. And so far he doesn’t have many of those.

You could say this about every LSU team for most of the last 20 years.

I remember most of you wanted Jimbo or Tom Herman last time?

Still sticking with them?
Jimbo would be a great get for LSU.

Lane is great but he's crazy and immature and will probably not stay anywhere for long

It’s been 3 games

3. Games. Since the National championship.

What?

I’m saying having a HC that can handle one side of the ball without needing his coordinator to do everything would be preferable to what we have now, so yes, I would take Lane over O.

Seeing as how he was only hired because he pinky promised to bring him along, that shouldn’t be all that controversial of a statement.

One side of the ball is playing great now.
Orgeron built the greatest team in NCAA history.
They moved on. He can do again.
On the other hand, Kiffen has never built a national championship team. He seems to always move on amid controversy.
