I enjoy boxing more than MMA/UFC, especially when they get into all that ground work laid out on the mat wrestling and T-Bagging each other.

MA may be the most boring sport on tv, it’s a close race with NBA. Boxing is a skill sport, mma is just a bunch of trailer park trash humping
That’s dumb. Mma is exponentially more exciting than boxing where every fight other than the main event is trash and then the main card is usually a bullshite rigged decision.
Also, most high level mma fighters are experts at multiple disciplines so your argument about skill is even more stupid.

Then dont watch
It’s a part of mma

Jiu jitsu requires more skills than boxing

People like watching a punching match, but not an actual fight?? That makes no sense

I prefer boxing but don't dislike mma. Both have their boring aspects. The thing I always come back to is this, most universally lauded, exciting mma fights are when 2 guys(or gals) stand toe to toe and throw punches and kicks. Save for the kicks, it might as well be boxing. Even ardent mma fans boo and jeer during pure mat fights because it's boring. They prefer the boxing aspect more than the wrestling but are first to defend the "skill" of mma fighters. They just don't want to actually watch it.

Love boxing. Looking forward to the next Terence Crawford match

I disagree with ardent mma fans booing fights on the ground. Yeah sometimes ground fights suck. Same as standing fights. Lewis and Ngannou 2 of the best knockout artists in mma had a terrible standup fight. Mma is multifaceted and I enjoy every aspect of it. Coming up we have gaethje vs khabib. Khabib does most of his damage on the ground and gaethje likes to stand up. Gaethje is a great wrestler but doesn’t use his wrestling so the interesting thing about that match will be can gaethje stay standing and put it on khabib vs can khabib take him down and smash him like he has everyone else. Anyway, boxing sucks.

You’ll need to watch next weekends fight
I can’t wait for it. I feel Loma feels disrespected by Teo and the press and will make an example of him. I love that Loma and Teo put all their belts on the line also.
Other than that fight I’m waiting for Shakur Stephenson to get back in the ring. He has a legit argument for PFP Best.

I used to be the same way. I didn't like a lot of grappling that is part of MMA. But, sadly there aren't any must see boxers like there used to be. I wish the heavyweight division was loaded like it was growing up.

I don't follow boxing much these days but still like it more than MMA. Womens MMA matches are often more exciting, though, for whatever's that's worth.

why not both? I'm looking forward to Loma/Lopez and Khabib/Gaethje, wouldn't want to pick between one and the other

Whomever downvoted this is an idiot there are way more techniques to learn when compared to boxing
That said there is a science to boxing

What’s the point of watching mma if fans hate takedowns and submissions.
I like to watch it all
I like to watch it all

Bryce Mitchell is fun to watch fight though

Threat of the takedown is an interesting striking wrinkle too. The top guys are so good at getting back to their feet that most high level fights (outside of Khabib, Colby, Usman) stay on the feet anyway unless someone wants to mix things up.

When is the last time a boxer has made sports lite? That tells you all you need to know.

Love boxing. I was into MMA about 10 years ago when I started doing bjj, haven’t watched an mma event in years.

Yeah, boxing makes me think of my dad and uncles. It was a bigger local sport back when they were growing up in the parishes, and actually had it as a high school sport.

yeah boxing had a great run. Id love to know what following boxing has with 30 year olds. boxing has been dead since the early nineties and I would bet that very few people can name any current boxing champion much less any active boxer.
