But Hillary would have just suicided a couple of the conservative justices. and keep it at nine.

Biden doesnt have the stones to do that.

“We have to pass the bill before we know what’s in it.”

Nancy Pelosi when questioned about the Obammy Care debacle.

This is the definitive proof that Trump is indeed correct that the media is the enemy of the people. The fact that Kamala Harris and Joe Biden have been allowed to get away with this is absolutely criminal. This is all the pundits should be talking and asking about. This is a direct threat to the dissolution of the country. Texas would threaten to secede over the results of this and multiple states would follow them. Kamala Harris can not be allowed to pack the courts with Far Leftists that will interpret the laws in a way that will effectively make her a dictator.

Between this nonanswer and Harris flat out denying to answer the same question last night, they are 100% planning to pack the court given the opportunity.

It would be nice if the Supreme Court would weigh in on this - official letter head signed by Roberts (I know his conservative bona fides are questionable these days but he's always been a stalwart proponent of checks and balances and constitutional norms.)

I know they rarely do this but given the importance and the fact it directly implicates their job.

Ummm, no. Packing the court alone is a dealbreaker. That’s the end of the country if they do that.

They keep calling Trump "literally Hitler." Packing the Court to intentionally remove one of the checks of the executive branch of government to impose whatever laws you want to impose is the exact definition of an authoritarian government. It's min blowing the media is so devoid of common sense and so clouded by their dislike of Donald Trump that they are incapable of seeing the forest for the trees with this issue. Even if you are completely opposed for everything Trump stands for, nothing he's done or will do would completely change the fabric of our entire system of checks and balances and freedom as packing the Courts would do.

I mean holy shite. Presidents have the constitutional right to appoint SCOTUS justices when there's a vacancy. But now we have entered a looney toons world where a president can work around that by creating his own appointments to get what he wants, and not a fricking soul in the media seems to give a shite. Like what in the ever living frick is wrong with people.

I know what one of them thought about it. Hey, aren’t we going to obey RBG’s wishes? I agree with her here: LINK

It's a stupid question (an "ooh, I got you" type) because the answer doesn't really matter.

If he says no - and he wins, he is not bound to never "pack the court." Kind of like the Republicans not being bound to wait to see what the American people say during an election year. Trump/Republicans win they set the rules and change the meaning of their answer. Biden/Democrats win, Biden/Democrats can do what they want regardless of what the answer to the question is.

If he says yes - and he loses, so what.

If he says yes and he wins - Congress would still have to pass a bill. What if the Republicans hold onto the Senate? What he wants doesn't matter because it won't get out of the Senate.

What if Democrats win the Senate? Then Biden/Democrats still have to decide if he wants to expend the political capital to pack it. Just because he said he would doesn't mean he will. Kind of like Trump/Republicans promising indictments since day 1...hasn't happened because there isn't the political will to get it done.

And, throw in the "everyone" knows politician's lie argument...he says no...he's lying. Hell, we all think we know his answer anyway, so what's the point of answering?

So, stupid question because the answer is worthless in my opinion.

Sure, it makes a great sound bite but it doesn't move the needle towards any clarity.

Oh it’s not that they’re dumb, its that they want a left wing authoritarian government to squash the rights of people they don’t like. They want to make it impossible for the Right to have any power again and know their place. They are at this point actively overthrowing the Republic in the name of Democracy. Their goal for our country is to turn it into Panem from “The Hunger Games”. Outside of the Capitol and elite circles, they don’t give a damn about anyone else and wish to squash the individual who would dare speak against them.

No they don’t. All they need are 50 seats in the Senate with Kamala being the tiebreaker. There is no set limit of SCJs in the constitution and we need to amend the constitution as soon as possible to cap it.

Dude, that would also lead to the dissolution of the country. Neither side can do it or else we’re fricked.

This line of thought makes them dumb. Your liberal in the media is not going to be protected by big brother. They will become a puppet for the propaganda machine and feel as much safety/security as news anchors in China. That's what blows my mind. They are so brainwashed, they are completely unable to comprehend how dangerous that would be.

Giving more power to the executive is the opposite of fighting for democracy. Further evidence they're dumb and/or brainwashed

They're idiots.
