If Oklahoma doesn't start getting their act together soon, we might need to start questioning their "Blue Blood" credentials.

You can’t lose a blue blood credential or gain a blue blood credential

If that was the case, Miami and LSU would be blue bloods and Michigan wouldn’t be

Where is that written?

If LSU maintains the level of consistency they have enjoyed since the turn of the century for another decade, and wins a couple national championships while they're at it, I think they will have earned a blue blood card. If Michigan continues to trend downward, they can easily lose it.

LSU was on the cusp of being a blueblood prior winning their last title according to ESPN.

Have the tigers overtaken the cornhuskers in the past 4 years?

Dumb. Pitt, Princeton, Harvard, Georgia Tech were blue bloods once.

The problem with the term is people want to apply it solely to wins and losses. If that’s the case, Notre Dame wouldn’t be a blue blood anymore IMO. But they are bolstered by media and national presence.

It’s a tough term to define for CFB.

Respectfully disagree. I don’t think you can gain blue blood status at this point. But enough sucking and blue blood status is lost. If everything keeps as is for the next 10 years I’m refusing to acknowledge Nebraska as a blue blood. Penn state and Tennessee are getting close too

bullshite. Time takes care of everything.

Nobody gives a shite about the ivy leagues who dominated everything 100 years ago.

People have even shorter memories these days. Another decade or 2 of mediocrity from the likes of Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan, and they'll join the ranks of Minnesota and Iowa.

Harvard and Army were the bluest of bluebloods.
