A couple of months ago I needed to determine amount of fluid remaining from the level in a cylindrical tank that is set on its side.

Half full, full, and empty are easily done, all other measurements must be “derived” via integration.

I have to do a fair amount of Parshall flume and Weir calculations. Occasionally, pipe full calculations.

Thank goodness most of those flow tables are already done.
