The problem is his actual Approval polls numbers don't match that. They are on par with Obama at various points, even ahead of where Obama was at the same point not that long ago.

Romney was right. It’s deeper than financials but half the country is either dependent on the government in some form or have bought into the Democratic Party as their substitute for religion. It has nothing to do with hating Trump - W was “hated” by the Democratic base and won a second term. Obama was hated by the GOP base and won.

538 composite approval for presidents at day 1356 of presidency:

Obama: 49.4%
Trump: 43.6%
