The drops need to stop

If there is anything to bitch about from last night it's the continued dropping of passes. That needs to be cleaned up quickly.

I wonder if they stopped doing the drills that Joe Brady brought with him?

Last night, the receiver dropped a pass wide open! Then returned with a big grin! Many of those he will smile on the bench!

On each wide receiver catching 10,000 passes in the offseason
Joseph: "Yes. We already started. They got close to 10,000, but we want them to hit that goal. We got them when spring football started. So they are doing that right now. Another thing we did, every drill ended in a catch. You always caught the ball. We made the ball a priority. We didn’t beat them up about it. If they dropped it, Joe (Burrow) went back to them on the next play. Usually what happens with how Steve called it, if you dropped it, Steve is coming right back to you. He has the mind of a quarterback, so if you drop it, I am coming right back to you. Joe worked the same way. They just worked on it."

I wonder if they are still have the door on field to do the door drill.

This is exactly what I was thinking. I hear they were kinda crazy and exhausting bc they took a lot of time doing the same thing over and over but man those are differences between extending a drive bailing out your qb in a 50/50 ball when he is under pressure and lining up inpunt formation when defense is still gassed and needs a breather. Just upsetting is all

I think all of that has stopped based on the 1st 2 games.

Drops & missed ‘gimme’ passes by Brennan are the 2 biggest issues right now.
At least As long as the OL gives him time to throw like that.

That link is from April.
Not sure Linehan pushed the 10K reps and other drills the way Brady did. Doesn't look like it, anyway.

No way they did the drills. That is the difference between champions and average. I had hoped that would have become a prerequisite for summer workouts.

COVID issues may have also gotten in the way

It's official. The Jugs Machine opted-out this year.

They lost a bit of practice time with COVID
