If a cop asks for your name can you in invoke your 5th amendment right to remain silent and just not answer?!

Just curious.

You have the right to remain silent... Most people don't have the ability...

Being silent can backfire if you are silent when you really shouldn't be, e.g. you have knowledge of a crime about to go down, you say nothing, and later it is discovered you knew.

Mostly, just don't break the fricking law.

This is entirely wrong. Every time you open your mouth to the police they are gathering EVIDENCE that can and WILL be used against you in a court of law.

Can you just tell the cop you had no intent? That worked quite well for Hillary.

Unequal justice under selective law...

Y'all remember that when you're persecuted by armed henchmen of corrupt politicians, but those same Rulers aren't....

That's all you need to know. Period.
