no problem my dude, glad your still enjoying them. dis is a very weird season fr, and you know that 100. these rankings will be interesting and may end up very important down the road but they lack a wide amount of data points right now, u understand from your lake show analytics that you talk about. gl to dem boys in the finals, you called it right all along per usual

So the 2nd best conference is "one of the weakest" of 5. Got it. And you completely ignored my proposal to only look at the 9 best results for the teams to account for an uneven number of games. #notsurprising

Lighten up dipshit. Damn, you are always whining.

Accept the fact that besides the overrated state university, the little 12 is a pathetically weak conference.

I didn't ignore anything, I said I'm sure they would be there. Damn, you're blind and stupid.

IMO, ND has a dangerous team. They look and play like an 00s SEC team.

I don't think Ian Book is the real deal.

And they have to go through Clemson, potentially twice.

Sorry for trying to have a rational discussion on a sports message board

Have a nice day.

Were you asking that question 2 weeks ago about SEC teams?

Unlike the BIG TEN the SEC had balls enough to say WE ARE PLAYING................

Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU and Auburn?

Ohio State,Michigan, Penn State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, and Iowa are an easy equivalent.

that being said the Big 10 and Pac 12 should not be eligible for the playoffs while playing an 8 game schedule.

So is LSU good at 0-1?

Didn't Minnesota beat Auburn in a bowl game last season?

Just like Clemson, Ohio State plays in the one of the weakest P5 conferences

You've already been called out on this, but the B1G is the 2nd best conference so it can't be one of the weakest. In fact, it is one of the strongest

It's essentially a 9 game schedule, since all teams will play on conference championship weekend.

Does that 1 game make that much of a difference?

I do not think that any team should be ranked if they have not started a season yet or not committed to play. Especially if it is a metrics driven poll, as there are really no metric to go off and subjective polls seem to ranking name only if the team has not played. Just my pea brained take on this.

I like the Massey poll actually.

So you think Ohio State should be currently ranked?

They have not started the season yet. So no, I did not think any of the SEC teams should have been ranked until they started playing either.

If play you get paid philosophy basically.

My only problem with this, and it may end up existing anyway, is by the time the B1G starts they would have no one in the top 25 of course, and teams would have a hard time climbing into the top 25 at that point. Like OSU/PSU were 2/7 I think in the Preseason AP poll; based on how the AP has been going (now 6/10), that is not going to be a top 10 matchup when they play. It may be "correct" but it's strange

What does "committed to play" mean then?

I think the CFP poll is a scam as is multiple others. But this is not the thread to discuss my feelings about the system.
