if he was telling banks he was making millions so he could get loans, while telling the IRS he was losing millions to lower his taxes, these are very major felonies.
Of course it would. You don’t think after all the stuff they have thrown at him, that if it were true, they would have already brought this up and charged him? C’mon man.
What so many people don’t understand is that what you paid in taxes is not directly related to your income. It’s mine boggling how few understand this.

I'm guessing that like most Americans, you are ignorant of how taxes, even simple taxes, work.
A person/business could have $434,000,000 in taxable gains, and $481,000,000 in eligible losses which would net out to $47,000,000 in net taxable loss, resulting in $0 taxes due, and most likely a forward credit against future taxes.
Read your 1040 Schedule D, the basics are really not all that complicated.

I guess we can add that to the litany of lies the conman in Washington has told.
What lie?
quote:
But at least we know why, after claiming on 8 different occasions prior to being elected that he would release his tax statements, he has fought tooth and nail to keep them from being released.
And he should. Because you and the media are looking to misinform the public about what those taxes mean. Why give them any ammo?
If he did anything wrong, it would be pretty easy to find out that the IRS was after him. But not even an "anonymous source" has come forward of anything illegal.
quote:
Does it bother you that he has more than 400 million dollars in loans coming due ---- loans that he is personally responsible for ---- within the next four years and yet, with the amount of money his businesses are hemorraging, the fact that he has already sold nearly all of his stock and the fact that his Apprentice royalties are drying up, he has virtually no means to pay off those loans? Where oh where will he get the money?
Why would his personal finances be any of my concern (unless some illegality was suspected, but gee, no one claims that, do they?)?
If this is the best you can do, I see a landslide coming for Trump.

Looks like Obama is a dumb motherfricker for not hiring a good accountant.
Or..or...how the hell did he end up paying that much having been a Senator then President. Hmmm...

What is your point? Is it that Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush were all better Presidents than Bill Clinton, because they paid more in taxes?
You need to explain yourself, it's really unclear.

Good lord ... a 70 thousand dollar writeoff for hair care ... in one year?
Also, I almost lost this: in several of the years, per his tax statements, Trump lost more money than any other individual American. Given that there are roughly 330 million of us, that takes a special kind of incompetency.

He got a $72M tax refund because of business losses. So with that in mind I suppose I’ll withdraw my claim that’s he’s a thief if you’ll acknowledge he has no idea how to successfully run a business...ya know “make deals”. If we are all going to stand around and convince ourselves that he’s a great business man, then my conclusion that he’s stealing money from the government seems plausible.
Imagine for one second a political adversary had a similar tax return. What would you call him or her?

Do you have a link for the return?

I’m guessing you have never owned investment real estate, or at least not very much.

I mean, I certainly don't think he's the greatest businessman in the history of business, but I can't see not giving him his due as well. Billionaire President of the United States. It fairly notable.
And I think a lot of the fanfare about his great business savvy is also viewed in light of it being applied to the Presidency in an unprecedented way in modern times. I think it's just impossible for those who simply hate the guy to acknowledge the obvious change in pace and approach, and the positive gains that have been achieved.
Honestly, I'd be completely indifferent. Maybe that's not such a good thing, but it is what it is.

As a CPA, I'd call him smart for taking advantage of everything he can. Don't like the tax law, then vote to change it.

Not one of them owns a bit of real estate. They don’t have past loses to write off.
It’s cute how you Dems latch on to the latest contrived crisis
