On the other hand, if certain organizations are deemed to be domestic terrorist organizations, and a domestic enemy, That's exactly the kind of thing, that a militia is for.

So you think the entire armed forces of 2 million people (including reserves) would:
1. All fight against other citizens
2. Be able to win a decisive victory over 150 million gun owners in America? If so they must plan on doing things differently than in Vietnam, Korea, and 20 years in the Middle East.

I have to assume that you know that armed citizens are by definition the militia, and that you are instead talking about activating the militia. I would think that would only be done upon the failure of a declaration of martial law, and the inability of the national guard to control the situation.
You’re talking about 50 steps down the road, when in reality, all it would take is the removal of all the anti-American officials, and turning law enforcement loose to do the job they were hired for.

You think you have a point here, but let's say that you are right, that 99% of the militia would cut and run (I would guess that it would be a number closer to 75%), going with your number though, that 1% that's left, would be made up of prior military. Guys who know what to do. That 1% would still make up a force of a couple of million men, and they would be well armed, trained, and experienced. I don't know the exact numbers of actual ground pounders, in the active Army and Marine Corps, but I would guess that number is well below 1/2 million, and they would be spread very thin.
