Does a SCOTUS require a law degree?
No, but it has been 80 years since a non-attorney has been nominated.

Women will bring up shite you said from 1967 and blow it totally out of context if they think it helps their cause.

Don’t mess with the Senate majority. Cruz needed in Senate right now.

Would be epic to see the nominee Ted Cruz spend a half hour being grilled by Senator Ted Cruz.

Personally I think Cruz would make him look foolish

Stanley F. Reed was the last sitting Justice not to have received a law degree. Appointed by FDR, retired 1957.

I’d prefer a judge over a career politician... that goes for both parties.

Maybe you aren't aware, but both Cruz and Mike Lee served as SCOTUS clerks (Cruz under Rehnquist/Lee under Alito). They aren't what I would qualify as "career politicians" and have more experience with SCOTUS inner workings than any of their colleagues.
